Mary's decent into sin began at age 13 before she truly understood that her actions were a sin. Her life was dodgy and difficult at best. She allowed herself to be abused and fell into drugs. Now the very last verse, verse 50, tells us that this woman had faith in Jesus and that it was on the basis of her faith in Christ that she is saved.
